First Quarter

With his second career game start at Arizona, Khalil Tate led the offense to score after only 4 plays. A fake pitch to the right and he followed a block into a hole in the Bruin defense. Once cleared of the scuffle, Tate ran along the left sideline for an incredible score. This 45-yard touchdown granted an early lead to the Wildcats. Kylan Wilborn followed suit with a forced fumble leading to a 36-yard field goal by Josh Pollack. Arizona was up 10-0 when UCLA took hold of the ball to answer back. A long 75-yard drive took the Bruins 13 plays to cross into the end zone. They followed with a field goal to lessen the sting of the Wildcats success, but their pain was far from over. The Wildcats continued fighting hard and a perfect pass to Shun Brown gave them a 53-yard advance. After 3 short plays, Nick Wilson scored giving Arizona a 10 point lead. At the end of the first quarter, the Wildcats were up 17-7.

Second Quarter

Back on the field for the second quarter both the Wildcat offense and defense are playing their part. Jace Whittaker makes two amazing interceptions. One he followed with a 42-yard sprint for a touchdown; the other he picked out of the end zone preventing a UCLA score. With only eleven seconds left in the first half, Tate passes to tight end Trevor Wood from 6-yards out. This was Trevor Wood's first catch of the season and first career touchdown reception. As the buzzer sounds marking the end of the first half, Arizona is leading UCLA by an incredible 30-14.

Third Quarter

The third quarter begins and the Wildcats know that the game is far from over. UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen has made bigger comebacks and there is no room for slackness. The Bruins to trimmed 16 points off their first half deficit early in the third quarter. The Wildcats forced a 3 and out possession for the and drove hard to the UCLA 7 yard line. They took a loss as UCLA stopped Tate behind the line of scrimmage, and the following 28-yard field goal attempt missed low and to the left. The Arizona defense worked hard to force UCLA into another 3 and out possession. With the Wildcats once again losing ground in the red zone, Pollack converted a 23-yard field goal increasing the lead to 33-14. Remaining calm and in control, Khalil Tate ran for a 71-yard touchdown late in the quarter. He raced down the field and eluded a back field defender to make the touch down. The score at the third quarter's end was Arizona 40 and UCLA 30.

Final Push

Going into the final quarter the Wildcats lead the Bruins 40 to 30. With a lot of game left to play Arizona couldn't slack or UCLA would take home the victory. The Arizona defense locked down UCLA and prevented them from scoring a single point throughout the entire quarter. The only score in the last quarter was for the Wildcats. They increased their lead to 17 points. At the end of the game, the University of Arizona led by Khalil Tate defeated the UCLA Bruins 47 to 30. 

This spectacular win ended a five game loss streak against UCLA. Being Arizona's second win in a row, they jumped to 4-2 and 2-1 in the Pac-12.
