10 New Years Eve Events in Tucson to Help You Ring in 2018

From family-friendly events to late night parties, Tucson is ready to ring in 2018! The list below is just a sampling of all that is happening New Year's Eve. You'll want to join the fun; the challenge will be choosing one event!

Happy New Year at Our Play Place

Ring in the new year early...at noon! This 12 p.m. event is perfect for little ones who just can't stay awake until midnightOur Play Place celebrates with playtime, crafts, treats, and a balloon drop at the magic hour!

Golden Pin Lanes - Tucson's Largest Bowling Center

Golden Pin Lanes is hosting a family fun, afternoon party from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. and a late night party from 9 p.m. until  1 a.m.  For $39 plus tax, per lane, up to six people can enjoy bowling and music videos. Party favors and shoe rental included in the price.

For night owls, Golden Pin Lanes invites you to enjoy a similar package at $59 plus tax, per lane. With this package, you'll toast the new year at midnight with either champagne or cider.

New Year's Eve Party at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

Poodle skirts and bobby socks are back in style at this 50's themed sock hop event. A DJ will keep the tunes spinning until it's time to ring in the new year.  For $25, you'll dance the night away and enjoy a menu of hamburgers, French fries, and milkshakes. A full bar is also available so be sure to take advantage of room discounts and stay safe by overnighting at the resort. A package of a New Year's Eve night reservation includes two tickets to the event. The party starts at 9 p.m.and ends at 2 a.m. so you'll be glad you decided to stay the night at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Rick Braun's New Year Eve's JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort

No need to go to travel to the Big Apple; experience New York City with this themed event featuring outstanding musicians. Enjoy a gourmet food and dance to the smooth vocals and unique sounds of trumpet and saxophone music. Avoid the crowds of Times Square with this NYC themed event right here in Tucson!  A popular event, tickets range in price from $209-$269 and usually sells-out.

New Year's Package at DoubleTree Suites Tucson Airport

This event will have you saying, "Bonjour, 2018!" Set against the backdrop of Paris, France, you'll dance to the sounds of Tucson cover band Xception.  Xception plans to play all the rock-n-roll favorites. A festive buffet dinner will be served. Paris-themed costume attire is encouraged! Enter to win the costume contest which features a grand prize. This 21 and older event at the DoubleTree Suites Tucson Airport ranges in price from $169-$229.

New Year's Eve Dinner Theater at Sheraton Hotel

The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with a comedy murder-mystery, "Murder at the Magic Show." The live theater is followed by a three-course, candlelit dinner. A magic show and dancing lead up to midnight. Party favors, balloon drop, and much more. Tickets are $85; the Sheraton Hotel invites you to stay the night for an additional $49.50 per person.

New Year's Celebration at Nevada Smiths Steakhouse & Saloon

You don't want to miss this totally awesome 80's themed event in Tucson! Karaoke and a DJ will have you going back in time to classic 80's tunes. Food, games with prizes, and a champagne toast at midnight. There's even a shuttle to get you home safely.

New Year's Eve at Hotel Congress

Travel around the world in one evening at this global event. The historic Hotel Congress will be decorated with cultural themes from around the world. Enjoy not one but two dance floors as DJs play some of the best dance music. Traveling around the world in one night is tiring so spend the night at a great NYE rate. Ticket prices range from $30 to $135.

Case Luna Buffet & Dancing at Hacienda Del Sol

The Hacienda Del Sol invites you to dine on their decadent buffet filled with award-winning dishes. Dance to the sounds of the Undercover Band and toast the new year with champagne at midnight. $75 per person.

The Labyrinth New Year's Eve Party and Masquerade Ball

David Bowie fans will enjoy a late-night screening of Jim Henson's 1986 fantasy classic, Labyrinth. Costume contest, David Bowie music videos, and a champagne toast at midnight are part of the fun. Event location is The Loft Cinema. Tickets are $15/$12.
